Call for Papers

The scope of the Symposium covers various aspects of the theory, analysis, design, and construction of shell and spatial structures and will include at least the following topics:

1. Stability, dynamic, and fracture behaviors;
2. Geometric and material nonlinear analyses;
3. Thin-walled or thin-shell structures;
4. Form finding and optimization;
5. Experiments and case studies;
6. AI and expert systems;
7. Digital or smart structures;
8. Innovative design and construction methods;
9. Automation and monitoring techniques;
10. Structural morphology;
11. Repair and retrofit;
12. Control techniques;
13. Bridge engineering and;
14. Other related topics.

No limitation is imposed on the types of loadings or materials considered.

Proposal for Technical Sessions:

Any proposal for organizing a technical session containing at least five papers related to the topics given above should reach the Secretariat no later than February 15, 2003.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts of about 500 words on any of the above or related topics. The full address, fax number, and e-mail address of the contact author should be given. Only papers registered and presented at the Symposium will be included in the Proceedings.
