Taipei City
Taipei is the most important cultural, political and economic center
of Taiwan with a population of more than 3 million. While the city
has been modernized in the past half a century, it nevertheless
preserves the rich cultural traditions of Chinese history. The National
Palace Museum located in the suburb of Taipei is world famous for
its priceless collection of artistic treasures, which represent
over 3,000 years of Chinese history. Even a brief stay in Taipei
is enough to take in most of its attractions.
