Academic English Writing Course Requirement
自114學年第2學期起，本組必修課程「學術英文寫作」調整為全英文授課。
本組開設之「學術英文寫作」課程預計於每學年第二學期開課，請同學提早規劃修課時程。
本課程為本組必修課程，請同學務必完成修習，以免影響畢業資格。
如因修課安排或語言適應等因素需其他修課規劃之同學，可考慮修習寫作中心開設之中文授課學術寫作課程。惟若欲以寫作中心之課程取代本組必修「學術英文寫作」課程者，須依相關規定提出申請並經審核通過。
此外，若有需要修習英文授課之學術英文寫作課程，同學亦可參考土木工程學系於每學年第一學期開設之相關課程。相關課程資訊請同學自行留意並妥善安排修課規劃。
Starting from this semester, the required course “Academic English Writing” offered by our division will be conducted entirely in English.
The course is scheduled to be offered in the second semester of each academic year. Students are encouraged to plan their course schedules in advance.
As this is a required course, please make sure to complete it in order to avoid any impact on your graduation eligibility.
Students who may have difficulty with the English-taught format may consider enrolling in the Academic Writing course offered in Chinese by the Writing Center. If you wish to substitute the Writing Center’s course for our division’s required “Academic English Writing” course, please follow the relevant regulations and complete the required application process.
In addition, students who prefer to take an English-taught Academic English Writing course may also refer to the course offered by the Department of Civil Engineering in the first semester of each academic year. Please pay attention to course information and arrange your study plan accordingly.

經CAE組老師2024年2月20日會議共同決議，自112學年第2學期起，「電腦輔助工程專題討論」為本組必修，不得以修習其他系所課程衝堂或其他事務為由，要求指導教授同意修習其他組之專題討論課程。
Based on the decision made in the meeting by the CAE Division teachers on February 20th, 2024, starting from the second semester of the 112th academic year, "Computer-aided Engineering Seminar" is a required course for our division. It is not allowed to clash with other courses from other departments or use other reasons to request to take other seminars from other divisions without the approval of the advisor.
Notice on the Required Course and Enrollment Regulations for Academic English Writing
經CAE組老師2023年9月25日會議共同決議，學生可修習寫作中心開設之學術英文寫作，取代組上開設之「學術英文寫作」課程，學生需另提出免修申請，經指導教授及組務會議通過後，方可免修。
Based on the decision made in the meeting by the CAE Division teachers on September 25th, 2023, starting from the first semester of the 112th academic year, students have the option to take Academic English Writing course offered by the Academic Writing Education Center, instead of the Academic English Writing course offered by CAE. Students can apply for a course exemption or substitution. However, the application should be first approved by your advisor, and the final decision will be made by the committee formed by the CAE faculty members.
